Ambassadors Girls’ Scholarship Program (AGSP) – Tanzania Scholarships for Primary and Secondary School Students
- Tanzania Association of Women Leaders in Agriculture and Environment (TAWLAE) – TAWLAE is a professional, non-governmental organization to empower women economically and socially. TAWLAE works in the areas of Dar es Salaam, Korogwe, Arusha, Iringa Rural, Kondoa, and Mufindi
- Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Zanzibar – FAWE Zanzibar is a nongovernmental organization created to support women, and girls in particular, in order for them to acquire education to promote development. On Unguja, FAWE works in six regions: North A, North B, Central, South, West, and Urban. On Pemba, FAWE works in four regions: Wete, Chake, Mkoani, and Micheweni.
- WAMA Foundation (Wanawake Na Maendeleo) – WAMA Foundation is a non-governmental organization created to increase the number of economically empowered women, progressive communities and healthy, well educated children free from poverty, ignorance, and disease. WAMA implemented AGSP in the 2008 school year.
Canadian Harambee Education Society
- This Canadian based agency works with highschools girls in both Kenya and Tanzania. In Tanzania they worked in the Katesh area.
- They provide scholarships for GIRLS ONLY to attend Secondary School. They also offer support, encouragement and partnership for these young women as they journey towards adulthood. There are also opportunities for donors to support individual students
Helping Youth Through Educational Scholarships (“HYTES”)
- HYTES is a Canadian non-profit organization that has no affiliation with any government or religion that provide scholarships in developing nations, focused on paying for secondary tuition costs for community minded and financially challenged students in Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Guatemala.
ISM Scholarship Programme
- The International School Moshi (ISM) Scholarship Programme supports Tanzania students by giving talented local students full scholarships to complete their International Baccalaureate Diploma. The Program ensures these students are successful through hosting them in our boarding programme, enabling them to participate fully in co-curricular activities, and providing them with pastoral care and university application support.
S4Si in Tanzania
- The goal of S4Si is to create educational opportunities for high-achieving students in the developing world, with the belief that education is essential to community leadership and a country’s development. S4Si in Tanzania is a university-based, non-profit organization that provides these opportunities through collaboration with the local communities of our Scholars.

Study in Denmark – International Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships
- The Danish higher education institution offers scholarships each year to fund highly qualified full-degree students from non-EU/EEA countries and Switzerland. Eligibility includes being a citizen of a country outside the EU, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, being enrolled in a full degree higher education program, and being granted a time-limited residence permit in Denmark due to education.
York University – Global Leader of Tomorrow Award
- York University – International Entrance Scholarship grants $100,000 that is spread in to $25,000 each year for 4 years. It requires the highest academic average, demonstrated leadership skill, and some letters of recommendation. To renew the scholarship, grantee must maintain a high academic standing (7.80 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York.
Australian Development Scholarship Program (ADS)
- The Australian Development Scholarships initiative was announced by the Australian Prime Minister in 2009 and aims to maximize the benefit of the Australian Government’s extensive scholarship programs, and to support enduring ties between Australia and our neighbors. The Australian Development Scholarships initiative brings the Australian Government’s scholarship programs together under the one Australia Awards brand.
Swedish Institute Study Scholarships
- Swedish institute scholarships offer support to highly qualified students from 12 developing countries with which Sweden conducts long-term development cooperation. The grants will cover both living costs and tuition fees.
Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP)
- The Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP) is a program of the New York City-based International Fellowships Fund. The IFP Secretariat is housed at IIE headquarters in New York, which disburses the funds, and provides university placement for IFP fellows studyingni North america and Canada. IFP also works closely with Ford Foundation offices across the world.
OFID (The OPEC Fund for International Development)
- The OFID Scholarship will be awarded to support two students or candidates for Master’s degree studies. The applicant may be from any developing country, and he/she must first obtain admission to pursue a Master’s (graduate) degree in any recognized university/college in the world. The Scholarship is open to those students who wish to pursue studies in a relevant field of Development or Energy Studies.
