10. Danish Government Scholarships
- Danish higher education institutions receive a limited number of government scholarships each year to fund highly qualified full-degree students from non-EU/EEA countries..
- The scholarships are administered by the higher education institutions, who individually decide which students are selected to receive a scholarship.
9. Eiffel Masters Scholarships in France
- The areas of study concerned by the Eiffel scholarships are: engineering sciences at Master level, sciences in a broader sense for PhD level (engineering sciences, exact sciences such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences, nano- and bio-technology, earth and environmental sciences and information and communication sciences and technology), economics and management and law and political science.
- In submitting applications for Eiffel scholarships, French host educational establishments undertake to enroll students in courses awarding a Master or in colleges awarding an engineering science diploma
- Eiffel scholarship-holders receive a monthly grant allowance of 1,181 Euros (current applicable rate). In addition, the program covers various expenses including return travel, health insurance and cultural activities. 8. Chinese Government Scholarship Scheme
- is established by the Ministry of Education of P.R. China to provide both full scholarships and partial scholarships to international students and scholars.
The Value of each scholarship consists of
- Exemption from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for laboratory experiment, fee for internship, and fee for basic learning materials; free accommodation on campus;
- Living allowance;
- One-off settlement subsidy after registration;
- Fee for outpatient medical service, Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan for International Students in China;
- One-off inter-city travel subsidy.
7. Korean Government Scholarship Program
- is designed to provide higher education in Korea for international students, with the aim of promoting international exchange in education, as well as mutual friendship amongst the participating countries.
Here is a brief summary of what the scholarship includes:
- Airfare : Round-trip economy class ticket.
- Monthly Allowance : 900,000 won (KRW) per month.
- Research Allowance : 210,000 won for scholars in the humanities and social sciences; 240,000 won for scholars in natural and mechanic sciences, per semester.
- Relocation (Settlement) Allowance : 200,000 won upon arrival
- Language Training Fee : Full coverage
- Tuitions : All admission fees are waived by the host institution (university). The tuition is paid by NIIED.
- Dissertation Printing Costs : 500,000 ~ 800,000 won, depending on the actual costs.
- Medical Insurance : 20,000 won per month will be provided (limited coverage).
- Special funding for scholars who are proficient in the Korean language (TOPIK Level 5 or 6): 100,000 won per month (commencing from the degree program)

5. OFID (The OPEC Fund for International Development)

4. New Zealand Development Scholarships
- are funded by the New Zealand Aid Program, the New Zealand Government’s overseas aid and development program. The purpose of the scholarships is for candidates to gain knowledge and skills through post-graduate study in specific subject areas that will assist in the development of their home country.
What the scholarship offers

3. Australian Development Scholarships (ADS)
- are a bilateral program within the Australian scholarships program.
- Australian Development Scholarships are a highly valued form of development cooperation that aims to contribute to the long term development needs of Australia’s partner countries to promote growth and stability. They provide opportunities for people from developing countries to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate study in Australia.
- Fields of study are targeted to address agreed priority human resource and development needs of recipient countries, in line with Australia’s bilateral aid program.
- Australian Development Scholarships equip scholars with the skills and knowledge to drive change and influence the development outcomes of their own country through obtaining tertiary qualifications at participating Australian higher education institutions and technical colleges.
- Scholarship holders are required to return to their country of citizenship for two years after they have completed their studies to contribute to the development of their country.
- Up to 1000 Australian Development Scholarships are awarded each year across 31 countries with scholarships awarded equally between men and women.
- Finnish polytechnics and universities do not charge any tuition fees in their Bachelor’s degree programmes, or Doctoral level studies. Several Master’s programs do not charge a tuition fee, either.
