Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program

October 21 By Samuel 25 Comments

Scholarship Overview

  • The Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP) provides opportunities for advanced study to individuals who will use this education to become leaders in their respective fields.
  • To ensure that fellows are drawn from diverse backgrounds, IFP actively seeks candidates from social groups and communities that lack systematic access to higher education, and supports them through local partner organizations in 22 countries.
  • Established in 2001, the International Fellowships Program is entering its concluding phase. The final cohort has been selected, and the program will conclude in 2013. Fellows represent historically disadvantaged groups from outside the United States. IFP has identified nearly 4,350 emerging leaders. More than 80 percent have completed their studies and are now at home serving their communities.

Host School

  • IFP has International Partners worldwide that its fellows work with in projects and studies on social change.

    DEAR SIR/MADAM

    THE ABOVE MATTER HAS REFERENCE

I Mr Obakeng Kgwasi finished my B.Tech in Drama and Film in Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) South Africa who hereby formally asking for financial assistance in
the form of bursary to pursue with my lovely MA in Contemporary Performance
Making at Brunel University West London for the year of 2011 August until
    2012 September.

So i would be most grateful if i could be granted a bursary in order to
reach my destination in time because i acquainted myself becoming an
educated figure in the future. With financial assistance i am sure i will
succeed excellently with this endeavour and upon my return to South Africa
prove a wonderful asset to the South African Art as a whole.

To tell the truth i have missed the closing date for funding from National Arts Council which was on the 29 April 2011 because i was waiting for my Conditional Letter from the institution which is still on its way via post but i asked the institution to send the letter to me via email which serves as a prove that i did apply at Brunel University.

I shall be glad if my request will meet your kindest consideration and i
hope the positive viewing on this regard will be taken into consideration.
