General Eligibility Criteria:
- Applying for September entry
- Have an excellent academic record (“A” average or equivalent)
- An international student with a Study Permit for Canada
- Applying to the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree program in one of the following Faculties: Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, Environmental Studies, Fine Arts, Glendon, Health, Science & Engineering or Schulich School of Business.
Global Leader of Tomorrow Award
- $60,000 – ($15,000 x 4 years)
- Highest academic average
- Nomination by high school
- Leadership and demonstrated skills
- To renew – must have a high academic standing (7.80 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York
- Deadline: March 1
United World College Scholarship
- $100,000 – ($25,000 x 4 years)
- Enrolled in a United World College and high academic standing
- To renew – maintain a high academic standing (7.80 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York
- York requests that only one candidate be nominated per school
- Deadline: March 1
International Entrance Scholarship
- $100,000 – ($25,000 x 4 years)
- Highest academic average
- Demonstrated leadership skill
- Letters of recommendation
- To renew – maintain a high academic standing (7.80 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York
- Deadline: March 1

years ago having quitted my university education. At Addis Ababa
University I had studied political science and international relations
for three semesters with great distinction, cumulative GPA 3.70. Now
the German Government has recognised my asylum case and I’ve taken up
my undergraduate degree in Social sciences (in German) and American
Studies at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. Yet because of a language barrier I have found it difficult to fully use my potential to realise my dream. So, please be kind enough to let me know if there is any chance to get a place at York university.
