  • The Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme was established in 2015 after generous donations were received from multiple donors to mark the 95th birthday of Lord Weidenfeld.

Scholarship Overview

  • The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme provides outstanding university graduates and professionals from developing and emerging economies who are having challenges supporting the costs of their education with the opportunity to pursue fully-funded graduate studies at the University of Oxford.
  • Recipients of these scholarships also go through a comprehensive program that includes leadership development, long-term mentoring, and networking.

Am I Eligible to Apply?

To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • be applying to start a new full-time graduate course at Oxford;
  • be intending to return to your country of ordinary residence after completing your course;
  • be able to demonstrate a connection between your subject of study and your longer-term career objectives, and outline how you see your professional work contributing to the improvement of public life in your country of origin or at a wider regional or international level;
  • fulfill the requirements for a master’s dress programme at the University;
  • have successfully been offered a place in your chosen course.

How do I Apply – Next Steps

  • First, select the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme in the scholarships section of the University’s graduate application form.
  • Next, submit your application for graduate study by the relevant December or January deadline for your course.
  • You must also complete a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement and upload it alongside your graduate application form by the deadline.
