Dear, respected
Subject PhD scholarship application
I am pleased to write this grant application to your organizations to solve the community problems in the world as well as in Ethiopia.
Based on my interest and country problem, I will like to learn PhD in Nursing , if possible and available for free scholarship in your university and projects that you need to apply in developing country since I am not satisfied with the curriculum of graduate studies in my home country. Really in Ethiopia none graduated in PhD nursing till this time.
?Presently, I work as instructor at Mekelle University College of Health Science in the Department of Nursing. I have graduated from Addis Ababa University in June, 2012 in Adult Health Nursing. My responsibilities are teaching and conducting research, as well I am Medical Surgical Course team Coordinator. I have taught Nutrition, Health Education, Health Services Management, Communicable Disease, Epidemiology and etc for students. Working as academician and researcher needs deep knowledge of research methods, Epidemiology and statistical knowledge how to manage public health problems. Though my undergraduate and post graduate studies has given me a strong back ground in some public health subjects, this is not enough for me to be a professional lecturer and public health specialist. I have to continue my study to enrich my skills and broaden my knowledge.
Currently, Our University is engaged in the work of expanding its undergraduate and postgraduate health sciences streams in its health sciences college. As well as, it has selected Demographic survey Surveillance site (DSS) to have base line data for its research undertakings.
To realize its objectives, the university has meager number of public health experts. These Circumstances persuade me to apply for PhD in Nursing under your scholarship program.
