Academic Calendar
The university academic calendar in Iceland generally has two semesters as follows:

- Graduate Programs – The applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in a subject that corresponds to the targeted graduate program.
b) Language Proficiency
- Undergraduate programs are taught in Icelandic, while graduate programs are taught in both Icelandic and English.
- International students applying for undergraduate programs must show proficiency in Icelandic, while those applying for graduate programs must produce either TOEFL or IELTS test results to show they are proficient in English.
c) Application Process
- There is no central admission system in Iceland, so applicants must apply directly to the universities for admission.
- Application deadlines are also set by the universities, usually falling within the spring semester preceding admission in the autumn semester.
- Some universities require international students to pay an application fee.
d) Visa and Residence Permit
- International students from outside the EEA and EFTA need a student visa and/or a residence permit to study in Iceland.

My name is Matthew I am interested in joining one of your “Public Universities to study Electrical Engineering at master’s level.
I graduated with Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Electrical Electronics Engineering with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) 3.17.
In the view of the above however, please, kindly provide me with the following required information;
1. The direct “link” or portal to the Public Universities in ICELAND where I can apply and study Electrical Engineering or Electrical Power Engineering at master levels.
2. Also, am looking for a Public University where their “means of teaching” is purely in English Language and meantime, I will understudy ICELANDIC language so as to subsequently enjoy my relationship with the citizen.
