10. 100-Year Vision – Full Undergraduate Scholarships -Ashinaga Africa Initiative
- Ashinaga is a Japan-based nonprofit organization, which provides educational and emotional support to orphaned students. The organization has supported over 95,000 orphans in the last 45 years, and many of its graduates are actively contributing to society in a variety of fields across the world.
- The Ashinaga Africa Initiative began in 2014. Its mission is to contribute to Sub-Saharan Africa’s expanding role in global development through increasing access to higher education abroad. We support orphaned students who are committed to returning home and initiating change by providing access to full financial support to study at university abroad (equivalent to undergraduate degree), including tuition, room, travel cost and other necessary fees.

- offers to international students who wish to study at Japanese universities as undergraduate students.
- Scholarship includes School Fees, Monthly Allowance and Travel Expenses.
- This is a great scholarship and a easier application process than many others – you fill out one application for the scholarship first and then proceed from there.

8. Chinese Government Scholarship Scheme
is established by the Ministry of Education of P.R. China to provide both full scholarships and partial scholarships to international students and scholars.
The Value of each scholarship consists of
- Exemption from registration fee, tuition fee, fee for laboratory experiment, fee for internship, and fee for basic learning materials; free accommodation on campus;
- Living allowance;
- One-off settlement subsidy after registration;
- Fee for outpatient medical service, Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Benefit Plan for International Students in China;
- One-off inter-city travel subsidy.
7. UCL – United World Colleges and International Student House Scholarship
- University College London (UCL), United World Colleges (UWC) and International Student House (ISH) have agreed to collaborate in a scheme to enable graduates of UWC, who are financially unable to study in the UK, to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at UCL.
- With this scheme UCL supports the aims of UWC to make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. Two scholarships are available annually for UWC-nominated students who have firmly accepted their UCL admissions offer.
The scholarships will consist of:
- full tuition fees;
- maintenance allowance of £7,000 per year, for three years (consideration could be made for four-year programme – you must state this in your scholarship application);
- free accommodation in a standard of twin room at International Student House for up to three years (40 weeks contact per year) with the possibility of an extension into the fourth year where required;
- reinbursement of Tier 4 Visa application costs;
- international economy air travel to/from the UK (with reasonable baggage costs) at the beginning and end of the award holders degree programme.
6. Korean Government Scholarship Program for International Students for an Undergraduate Degree
- Korean government invites 100 international students from 62 countries who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Korea.
- Scholarship Includes:
- Airplane ticket or airfare: The grantees will receive an airplane ticket or be paid an economy class airfare of the shortest route between their country and Korea when they come to Korea, and, thereafter, when they leave Korea after completion of their study.
- Monthly Stipend: 800,000 won per month
- Tuition: The full tuition is exempted by the Korean Government and the entrance fee for the first semester by the host university.
5. Melbourne International Undergraduate Scholarship
- The International Undergraduate Scholarships were established by the University of Melbourne in recognition of the significant contribution made by international students to the diversity of the University’s student population.
- The University usually awards 50 scholarships per year.
The International Undergraduate scholarship provides one of the following benefits:
- a one off $10,000 fee remission from tuition fees in the first year of an undergraduate degree; or
- a 50% remission from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree; or
- a 100% remission from tuition fees for the normal full-time duration of an undergraduate degree.

- To renew – maintain a high academic standing (7.80 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York.

3. University of British Columbia – International Leader of Tomorrow Award
- Full Undergraduate Scholarship in Canada
- Award winners receive an award-level commensurate with their financial need as determined by the costs of their tuition, fees and living costs, minus the financial contribution the student and their family can make annually towards these costs. A standard needs-assessment is made, based on financial information provided by students and their families.
- The ILOT Award recognizes international students who demonstrate superior academic achievement, leadership skills, involvement in student affairs and community service, recognized achievement in fields of endeavour such as the performing arts, sports, debating or creative writing, or external academic competitions and examinations.
2. Need-Blind Admissions
- Schools Awarding Financial Need-Blind Admissions Aid. This is a relatively new admissions policy but what it means is that a college or university will admit students regardless of their ability to pay, and for any students that cannot afford the price-tag, the university awards scholarships and other institutional aid to make up the difference. There are now nine US schools that offer need-blind admissions to international students. Basically, if you can get in, you can afford to go – they are:

1. MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program
- provides access to secondary and higher education for young people who are committed to giving back to their communities. It is designed to provide students with holistic support, including the following:
- Comprehensive Scholarships — Students receive financial support for fees, uniforms, books and supplies, transportation, accommodation, and stipends.
- Skills Training — Students benefit from enrichment in areas relevant to employment success, such as critical thinking, communications, and entrepreneurship.
- Transition Support — Students receive support during their transition into secondary school, university or the workforce with mentoring, career counseling, internships, leadership development, and other life skills coaching.
- Give-Back Component — An integral component of the Program is the commitment from the Scholars to give back to their communities and countries of origin. Students demonstrate this commitment through volunteerism and community service, as well as other forms of experiential learning.
