10. African International University (AIU) Scholarships
- African International University, located along Dagoretti Road in Nairobi County, is a chartered Christian university. This institution offers the following scholarships.
- Work Scholarships – Students who get this scholarship are able to pay part of their tuition and academic-related fees by working on campus.
- Academic honor (merit) – The aim of this scholarship is the promotion of academic excellence. Every semester, it is awarded to the best performing student at each level of study.
- Teaching and Research Fellowships – These scholarships give doctoral students the financial support they need. In addition, these students get to gain professional experience.

9. Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) Scholarships

- General eligibility criteria for these scholarships include financial need, scholastic achievement, and quality for future leadership, commitment to the university activities, personal character and involvement in community service. These scholarships include:
- University Tuition Grants (UTG) – This is a partial tuition scholarship targeting needy but bright students who have scored a mean grade of B and above.
- Missio Scholarships – These scholarships come in form of partial tuition grants for needy laymen and women, and priests doing religious studies or enrolled in the Faculty of Theology.

8. Mount Kenya University (MKU) Scholarships

- Scholarships are offered by the MKU Foundation and are open to all the students enrolled in an undergraduate program at the institution regardless of nationality. Each scholarship covers one semester’s tuition fee.

7. Kenyatta University Scholarships
- Kenyatta University is a leading study destination for many students in Kenya. It is located on Thika Highway, just after the Kahawa Sukari junction.

5. Africa Nazarene University Scholarships
- Africa Nazarene University, located on Magadi Road in Nairobi, provides education that is Christ-centered, focusing on academic excellence and transformational leadership.
- There are three types of scholarships available. These are:
- Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship – This scholarship recognizes students who perform well at high school level, qualifying for university with a KCSE grade of between A and B+. The scholarship covers between 30% and 50% of the tuition fees.
- Alumni Scholarship Fund (ANU-ASF) – This scholarship is available to students at all levels of study who have good academic standing, are in their final year of study, demonstrate financial need, are of good character and are involved in community work.
- Olajide Alex-Oni Scholarship – One MBA student every year receives a 50% tuition and exam fee scholarship valid for one year. This student should have one year of study remaining, and demonstrate character that is aligned to the core values of ANU.
4. Strathmore University Foundation Scholarships
- Strathmore University, located in Madaraka Estate in Nairobi County, is another institution that offers some of the top 10 scholarships in Kenya for 2019.
- Strathmore University Foundation was set up to assist the university cater for a wide range of applicants interested in pursuing diplomas, degrees and professional courses.
- Through the foundation, the university runs a scholarship scheme funded in part by its annual resources, and by the European Union Endowment Fund.
- Scholarship categories include Mathematics Contest Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Sports Fee Rebate, Student Council Rebate, and Family Fee Rebate.
3. University of Nairobi Scholarships
- As part of its commitment to academic excellence, The University of Nairobi, one of the oldest universities in Kenya, offers several undergraduate and graduate scholarships to its students.
- These scholarships include:
- Rattansi Education Fund Scholarships – These scholarships, funded by The Rattansi Educational Trust, cater to undergraduate students.
- Rockefeller Foundational Scholarships – The Rockefeller Foundation provides scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Aga Khan Foundation – The Aga Khan Foundation Scholarships are available both for undergraduate and graduate students.

- Every year, this university sets aside Ksh 30 million to assist around 300 students with their educational costs through scholarships and other forms of financial aid.

- Daystar Family and Daystar Sunday partial scholarships – This is a one-time award aimed at helping students who have not completed paying their fees to sit for their exams.

- Scholarships offered by this institution include:
- Full USIU-A Scholarships – These scholarships are offered to one male and one female student, both of whom should be pursuing undergraduate degrees. Each of them should be able to demonstrate financial need and academic achievements.
- Partial USIU-A Scholarships – These are also offered to one male and one female undergraduate student, based on financial need and academic merit.
- Other scholarship categories include Physically Challenged Scholarships and Scholarships for Under-Represented Students.
