Hi there. My Name are Reagan Hinga Kimani, a 17yr old male from Africa Kenya. First of all, I would like to genuinely say that am well delighted to have this chance to write this to you Sir/ Madam given that I have been looking for this opportunity to write this to you. Remaining focused about the future which is all about Tech, innovation and IT, am writing this on date 20thJan2024 asking for scholarship for grade 10 for me to join your school to finish my schooling and go to the University God willing. Have grown in Africa, I must say life hasn’t been a walk in a park, I have encountered a couple of challenges which shaped me to the man I am Today. Am coming from Kenya a developing Nation having 4 siblings and a single Mom. Following my drop out of high school was due to the expenses that come with education. My mom barely earns less than $80 monthly to keep up with our with our needs. I had to drop out to join her in the workforce and to also create more room for my brothers to also countinue with their studies. Sliping without food has been part of my story hence making me to be more eager as to how the future looks like for me and my siblings and dearest mom. I can’t say that I haven’t tried to ensure that I have remain in school but my efforts remain futiled. Sometime I break down in tears and ask myself why all of this?,a question that am yet to find answers but in some ways I find the strength to keep up with everything for my mom and . since am the eldest son. This is just a fraction of what I’ve been through for the seek of a better tomorrow. The Following are some of the 8 displinces I learnt from the hard time / Reasons for me to be eligible for the scholarship
(1), Am believe into the true gospel of Jesus Christ/ God. I like it when the Bible goes ahead and says, in faith, everything is done. There is no dout about it
(2), Hardwork-It plays a key role in once successful stories and adventures of life.
(3),Self believe / courageous – been courageous explains more of a person you are /shapes the over personality of an intellectual person
(4), Respect – which I adopted from my beloved my who also taught me how to care for other, sympathies, been friendly, understanding and resilience.
(5),Leadership skills – during my old days is pry school, I used to be among the Border of management (BOM) of my school. Am set to do more in higher post if in anyway I get into the scholarship program
(6), Honesty – plays an important role in our everyday activities towards success. I like being honest since that is what I was tought with my dearest mom
(7), Self driven – proclaiming to myself that the future is bright for me, this as made me to grow immensely in terms of my personality hence the reason for been Self driven young man.
(8), I participate in extracurricular activities like playing football, bicycle racing engaging in debate and other extracurricular activities. I promise not to let you down
