TERESA SIMIYU

July 15 By Samuel 1 Comment

I did my K.C.P.E (KENYA CERTIFICATE OF PRIMARY EDUCATION) in the year 1996 and joined form one the following year 1997. When I reached form two I could not continue due to lack of school fees and thus dropped out of school. DUE to the above result I became so discouraged in life that I did not have any hope in life, but God through his loving kindness strengthened me cheer up during the trial moment.

Being the first in the family I was forced to work in people’s gardens so as to meet the needs of my younger siblings. I did these kinds of jobs until the year 2004. In the year 2005 by God’s grace the door to resume learning was opened and I was able to join form 3. Those involved in these ventures were the provincial administration (chief and assistant chief) that encouraged me to apply for Bursary and money from the constituency development fund (C.D.F). Indeed my fortune and face were brightened by this gesture. In the year 2006 I sat the K.CS.E (KENYA CERTIFICATE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION) and attained the mean grade of B-. This achievement was very encouraging in my life because I had been out of school for quiet sometimes and I could overcome all odds to perform like this.  Despite the obstacles I have been passing through still I feel I need to help those people who are undergoing difficulties so that they may have hope in life.

I have a desire in future to open a big school to help the desperate and orphaned children to access education so that they may have hope and future. I had desire to become a doctor and serve the community at large so that they may be treated of their various ailments and also encourage them spiritually. Though I did manage to become one, yet I was able to secure admission at Karen Nutrition College to pursue training in NUTRITION. The idea of helping others came as a result of the suffering of my mother who was HIV positive and none was in position to help her out. Following the anguish and suffering of my mother I swore to make difference in hospitals. Though I am in arrears in paying college fee, I have purposed soldier on knowing our GOD will open a door for me to finish my course at Karen Nutrition College. I am also trusting upon the MOST HIGH GOD to supply all my needs according his glorious riches. The college fee per year cost US $ 1500 and my other needs costs US $ 500.

Currently I am stuck I don’t know what tomorrow holds because I may be kicked out of college any time  due to arrears in fees. Finally I am appealing to any wiling sponsor to help realize my dream by standing with at this particular hour of need. Help me today, tomorrow I will be in position to give back to the community.

Am willing to give out the information the sponsor might need should there be need. Otherwise I am in appreciation in advance towards your gesture and may our GOD bless you abundant above all. Thank you.
