- Living expenses, such as accommodation, utilities and food
- Airfare via the most direct and economical route
- Books and supplies required for their study or research, excluding computers and other equipment
- Health insurance
- Ground transportation, including a public transportation pass

Am I Eligible to Apply?
To qualify for this scholarship, you should:
- Be a citizen of an eligible country/territory.
- Have enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an eligible country/territory.
- Be paying tuition fees to that institution at the time of application and for the full duration of your exchange.
How Do I Apply – Next Steps
Canadian institutions must apply on behalf of eligible students before the deadline, using the process below.
- Assign a program coordinator to complete applications.
- Create a My EduCanada account.
- Log into the account, select the Study in Canada Scholarships Program, and click “Apply”.
- Enter data in the required fields and follow the instructions on the application form.
- Validate and save your entries as you progress through the application form.
- Upload all required supporting documents.
- Review the application for accuracy and completeness.
- Submit your application, then save or print a copy of the completed application form.
Required Documents
- Proof of citizenship – a copy of your passport or national identity card with a photo and value dates.
- Signed Privacy Notice Statement – this should have been signed and dated by the candidate within the last six months.
- Letter of intent from the candidate (maximum one page) detailing the nature of studies and research to be undertaken.
- Letter of proof of full-time enrolment from the home institution on an official letterhead and dated within the last six months.
- Letter of support from the home institution (maximum one page) on an official letterhead and dated within the last six months.
- Letter of invitation from the Canadian supervisor (graduate students only, maximum one page) on an official letterhead and dated within the last six months.
- A Signed copy of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) or Agreement with the partner institution indicating that tuition fees will not be charged.
- A ranking of applications based on the institution’s strategic priorities.

- Benefit to the Canadian institution, supervisor, and peers
- Strength of the linkages to be created through the proposed exchange
- Rankings submitted by the Canadian institution
