- The President’s International Scholarship of Excellence is awarded to international high school applicants entering their first year of a four-year undergraduate degree program at York University.
- These applicants should demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and leadership skills.
- The recipients of this scholarship are referred to as “President’s International Scholars.”

What does the scholarship cover?
- Each award is valued at $180,000 ($45,000 x 4 years).
NOTE:
- This scholarship is renewable for an additional three years of full-time study or until degree completion (whichever comes first) provided the recipient completes a minimum of 24 credits each Fall/Winter session with a minimum sessional grade point average of 6.0.

To qualify for these scholarships, you must:
- Have a minimum 80% (A) final admission average or its equivalent.
- Have international immigration status.
- Have applied for and been accepted for an undergraduate degree program.
- Be a first-year applicant for an undergraduate degree.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student.
- Maintain good academic standing each year.
- Demonstrate commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities.
- Show leadership skills.
