My name is Esakiraj, I am from India, and I am applying for the Bachelor of Theology program at Monash University. I seek to become a pastor, and this scholarship will help me pursue this calling by easing my financial burden.
Before accepting Christ, my family and I were Hindus and struggled with poverty. During my early years, my father, suffering from depression, harmed himself severely. Though he survived the ordeal, he later became mentally ill, causing further distress. My mother sought help from many temples, but nothing changed. Then, a neighbor introduced us to Jesus. My mother began attending church and felt God’s presence, believing that Jesus would transform our lives. Miraculously, my father’s condition started improving, and our family witnessed a profound change, breaking the curse that had burdened us.
Experiencing these miracles has inspired me to dedicate my life to serving God. I believe that working for God is my true calling. My strong academic record, active church involvement, and volunteer work have prepared me for this path. I am eager to grow both spiritually and academically at Monash University and to develop the skills needed to serve others and spread the message of Christ.
Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Esakiraj
