Duke Law School

  • has established two half-tuition merit scholarships for extremely well-qualified students to attend the 2008-2009 LLM program. Outstanding applicants should submit with their LLM application a letter including the following information: (1) a statement describing major professional, academic, and other qualifications, (2) reasons for applying for the scholarship, such as what you can contribute to the Duke Law community, and (3) names of persons other than those on the LLM application who can be contacted for additional references.

New York University – School of Law – Scholarships and Academic Scholars Programs

  • Provides full tuition scholarships for three years of study to J.D. students who successfully meet the requirements of our Scholarships and Academic Scholars Programs. Scholars will benefit not only from generous financial support, but also from a fully integrated academic and professional program that will begin before their first day of class and will continue throughout their legal careers.
  • Applicants who wish to be considered for any of the Law School’s Scholarships and/or Academic Scholars Programs should complete their application for admission by January 1

University of Exeter – The Goodman Derrick LLP Scholarship

  • For an undergraduate student in the School of Law and may be used to pay tuition fees, maintenance, accommodation and living costs as the recipient wishes.
  • The value of the scholarship is £5,000 per year, initially for three years
  • The scholarship will be paid to the chosen recipient by the University at the beginning of each academic year.
  • Applicants for the scholarship may be nationals of any country.  They must hold academic qualifications that comply with the University’s entry requirements for undergraduate degree programmes.

STEP # 1 – Understand the Law Scholarship Process

Attaining legal education entails a lot of challenges. Competition for admission to most law schools is intense. Prospective lawyers should develop proficiency in writing and speaking, reading, researching, analyzing, and thinking logically–skills needed to succeed both in law school and in the profession.
