Danish government scholarships for highly qualified non-EU/EEA students

About Denmark

Scholarship Info
Danish higher education institutions receive a limited number of government scholarships each year to fund highly qualified full-degree students from non-EU/EEA countries and Switzerland.
In order to be eligible for a scholarship you must be:
- a citizen of a country outside the EU, the European Economic Area or Switzerland
- enrolled in a full degree higher education program
- granted a time-limited residence permit in Denmark due to education
You are not eligible for a Danish government scholarship if you are:
- seeking admission to a university level institution of arts, design and architecture
- have a legal claim to the rights of Danish citizens
- have been granted a residence permit at the time of admission by the Danish Aliens Consolidations Act §9c, subsection 1, as the child of a foreign citizen who has been granted a residence permit in accordance with the Danish Aliens Consolidations Act §9a, and who is a citizen of a country that is not acceded to the EU or covered by the EEA agreement
- a student who is eligible for a grant in accordance with Danish Law regarding the State Education Fund
The scholarships are administered by the Danish higher education institutions, each of which decides which students will receive a scholarship. For further information about the government scholarship, please consult the admission details of the higher education institution of your choice.
- Please note: The government scholarship consists of two parts and can be given as full or partial tuition fee waivers and/or grants towards covering your living costs. However, as the scholarships are administered by the individual higher education institution, you should ask for further details at the institution of your choice.

My name is parya Habibi and I’m from Iran, Sanandaj, Tajareh originally .Tajareh is a village that is in the very nice valley and surrounded by high mountains but unfortunately very poor in culture. If you saw my identity card, when I was birth my family even don’t get identity card for me and allocated my died sister’s identity card who was 5 years elder than me and her names was Perjin to me.Becauce of having my real identity I complained against my birth certificate to civil status registration organization and after the process of examination in legal medicine they issued me a new identity card as my real name .Because of difficulties that our village Tajareh caused me I asked to deleted that place in my identity card. So according to court’s vote Perjin Habibi Tajareh with birth 07.07.1980 changed to real myself identity Parya Habibi with the birth 07.07.1985 .In our village no girl let literate.
After a lot of challenge in our family and with helping my mother I went to Sanandaj city and attending elementary examinations. Afterwards I educate extension as student non-regularly, in secret and without permission of my father and our tribe. In our village if one girl leaving home solitude is an unforgivable guilt. Although my mothers help me a lot because she really believed that I can overcome all problems and sure I haven’t a destiny like her. During my education many times I was faced to wolves in evenings at the roads of our village and my school that was in Sanandaj city . My mother during my education told our tribe that that I was working in the land and ….. then I accepted in university and after that I’m the first girl that is literate and got BA and selected my husband by myself. Nearly half of my tribe reject me because of all of my boldness, but I want to continue my attempts and to trust in god I’ll bet one day I’ll prove to my village and all universe the one girl from Tajareh is know one of the best theorists in universe and this is because of the girls in future generations in Tajareh and the other villages like our location. I think if I continue my letter sure that’s change to novel because I return my real identity and be a girl was my crime.I’ll so pleased if your university give me a chane to prove myself because always one international universities are in my dreams. If your university couldn’t support me,is it possible that introduce me to one charity that help me and for only one term support me financially till I’ll prove myself? I would be highly appreciated if you consider my situations to my requesting of my fund? Or helping me in the other way that you suggest me?
