Scholarships for Indonesian Students – Undergraduate

Community College Initiative Program

• enables individuals from Brazil, Cuba, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Pakistan, South Africa, Turkey, and selected countries in Central America to spend one year studying at community colleges in the United States and earn a vocational certificate.

Government of India

• offers, every year, 20 scholarship slots to meritorious students from Indonesia to pursue their higher studies in Indian universities and colleges. The scholarships are granted for studies at Undergraduate & Post-graduate levels and in research subjects under M.Phil. and Ph.D.
• The scholarships are administered by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) under its General Cultural Scholarships Scheme (GCSS). Applications for scholarships under this scheme are invited in the month of November- December every year. These scholarships are also available for nationals of Timor Leste.

United States-South Pacific Scholarship Program

• authorized by the U.S. Congress and funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State is a competitive, merit-based scholarship program that provides opportunities for degree study at U.S. institutions of higher education. The scholarship program will include a summer internship in Washington, D.C. as well as a four to five week community service project in the student’s home country. Candidates from the following countries, who meet specific selection criteria, are eligible for the program:  Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. The U.S.-South Pacific Scholarship Program is administered by the East-West Center on behalf of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Australian Awards Scholarships

• Each year,  the Australian Government sponsors people from a number of developing countries to study in  Australia through Australian Development Scholarships (ADS). The Australian Development Scholarship program in Indonesia aims to promote private and public sector human resource development in areas of agreed development priority.
• This is achieved by providing post-graduate scholarships for Indonesians to study in Australia and by working in close cooperation with the Indonesian Government to deliver a program which is flexible to Indonesia’s human resource development needs.
• Australia’s international development assistance in Indonesia aims to work in partnership with the Government of Indonesia (GOI) to achieve a prosperous, democratic and safe nation by implementing Indonesia’s National Medium Term Development Plan.

Chalmers University of Technology – Scholarships

• One scholarship will be awarded in 2017 to a prospective Indonesian Master’s Student. To be considered for the scholarship applicants must apply for the Saab scholarship as well as the Avancez, IPOET and/ or Adlerbert Study Scholarships. This is because the awardee will be selected amongst the students who have been awarded one of these scholarships. Consequently, the Saab Scholarship awardee will receive coverage for the tuition fee as well.
•  The selection is based on the applicants’ relative academic excellence, which primarily includes weighted average grade but also home university’s stature (including position on global ranking lists) and priority order of the application for the Master’s programme in Communication Engineering.

EXPERTS

• is a scholarship project targeted to citizens of Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
• In accordance with the EMA2 call, the objective of the EXPERTS project is to facilitate collaborations between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from South and Southeast Asia (SSEA) and EU through the exchange of information in science and policy issues while sharing key issues of sustainable development in academic cooperation.

Wesleyan Freeman Asian Scholarship Program

• provides expenses for a four-year course of study toward a bachelor’s degree for up to twenty-two exceptionally able Asian students annually. Wesleyan is now accepting applications for participation in the Wesleyan Freeman Asian Scholarship Program. The chosen applicants will join 2,800 other Wesleyan undergraduates from throughout the United States and nearly 50 countries for study with an outstanding teaching and research faculty in the sciences and mathematics, the arts, the humanities, and the social and behavioral sciences. This program is made possible by Wesleyan University and the Freeman Foundation, which aims to improve understanding and to strengthen ties between the United States and the countries and regions of the Pacific Rim

StuNed Scholarships

• for Master studies, short courses and customized training programmes are available for Indonesian professionals with at least two years work experience in a development-related organization.

Scholarships for Indonesian Students – PhD

University of Sydney World Scholars

• From 2009, up to 20 new full tuition fee PhD scholarships will be available per annum for international students. Scholarships will cover the full cost of tuition fees for three years. A travel contribution of up to $2000 will also be provided to scholarship holders towards a return international air fare.
