 UNDERGRADUATE Scholarships for Students from India

Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search

  • Junior Scholarship – Any Indian National studying science in a recognized institution in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim only and who has passed the Secondary or equivalent examination in the year of application (i.e. , current year).
  • Senior Scholarship – Any Indian National studying in a recognized institution in West Bengal and who has passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in the year of application (i.e. , current year ) and is pursuing a course with Honors in Science, Engineering or Medicine.

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana

  • An ongoing programme started by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas. The aim of the programme is to identify and encourage talented students with aptitude for research.
  • This programme strives to assist the students to realise their potential and to ensure that the best scientific talent is tapped for research and development in the country. Generous scholarships will be provided (up to the pre-Ph.D. level) to the selected students.

University of Alberta India Centenary Scholarship

  • India Select High School Scholarship – Value: $5,000
  • Awarded to student(s) with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program from Delhi Public School, Kodaikanal International School, Pathways World School, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, and/or Bishop Cotton Boys School, and studying in Canada on a study permit.  Selection based on academic standing and nomination by their high school.

University of Edinburgh – Undergraduate India scholarship

  • Two scholarships are available for undergraduate study in any subject offered at the University within the College of Humanities and Social Science and the College of Science and Engineering.
  • Each scholarship will amount to £3,000 per year deducted from the tuition fee and will be tenable for the duration of the course of study.
  • The scholarships will be awarded to two Indian citizens who are normally resident in and have completed their secondary education in India, and who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an undergraduate programme of study with us.

University of Westminster – Ken Bird memorial scholarship

  • Help provide educational opportunities for women. The family of Ken Bird will take an active role in the choice and welfare of the scholar. The scholarship is awarded jointly with International Students House.
  • Amount: Full tuition fee waiver and accommodation at International Students House.
  • Eligibility: Preference will be given to you if you are a female student from India or Sri Lanka and hold an offer for a full-time undergraduate degree in a technology based subject. The scholarship will be renewed each year based on your academic performance.
  • Criteria: Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.

GRADUATE Scholarships for Students from India

Ashland University – MBA program

  • Students with the 3-year Bachelor of Commerce from an accredited institution, may enter directly into the core classes (Phase II) if they have at least 1st or 2nd Division passes. For those who hold 3rd Division passes, a GMAT must also be submitted with a score of at least 450. Other 3-year degree programs do not qualify for this admission policy.

EXPERTS

  • is a scholarship project targeted to citizens of Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
  • In accordance with the EMA2 call, the objective of the EXPERTS project is to facilitate collaborations between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from South and Southeast Asia (SSEA) and EU through the exchange of information in science and policy issues while sharing key issues of sustainable development in academic cooperation.

Guest Scholarship Program for Master’s level studies in Sweden

  • The objective of the scholarship program is to promote democratic, economic and social development through supporting know-how and transfer of knowledge to advanced students within areas in which Sweden is at the forefront of academic research.

Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowhip

  • supports Indian nationals living in India with financial need in obtaining an MBA at Stanford.
  • Each year, Stanford may award up to five Fellowships:
  • Fellows will receive full financial support for the two-year Stanford MBA Program and for all fees associated with applying and attending.
  • Reliance and Stanford are dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders in India who are committed to the country’s human and socio-economic progress.
  • Within two years of completing their Stanford MBA studies, Reliance Dhirubhai Fellows are required to return to India for a period of at least two years employment in the public or private sector.

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships

  • Awards are available for full time postgraduate study at any of Scotland’s universities or higher education institutions. Courses must be 12 month taught masters programmes, and priority will be given to subjects in the creative industries, science and technology, and financial services.

MBA Scholarships for Students from India

London Business School – Sumantra Ghoshal Memorial Scholarship

  • Award amount: Two scholarships of £12,000
  • Eligibility: Indian nationals
  • Overview: We are delighted to announce the new Sumantra Ghoshal Memorial Scholarships.  These Scholarships have been established to remember and honor the life and achievements of Professor Sumantra Ghoshal, a valued member of the London Business School community who died unexpectedly in March 2004.  They will be awarded to Indian nationals accepted into the full-time MBA Programme at London Business School who demonstrate the ability to serve as a strong ambassador for both the region and London Business School.
  • Application format: Candidates applying in Stages 1, 2 and 3 are considered automatically for the Sumantra Ghoshal Memorial scholarship.

UQ Business School – MBA Scholarships for International Students

  • UQ Business School is delighted to announce four full fee-waiver scholarships for international students entering the full-time MBA
  • Three of these scholarships are open to people applying from Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Great Britain (including British Nationals Overseas).
  • One full fee-waiver scholarship is available to students applying from India to study.

PhD Scholarships for Students from India

University of Sydney World Scholars

  • Up to 20 new full tuition fee PhD scholarships will be available per annum for international students. Scholarships will cover the full cost of tuition fees for three years. A travel contribution of up to $2000 will also be provided to scholarship holders towards a return international air fare.

FELLOWSHIPS for Students from India

Health and Population Innovation (HPI) Fellowship Program

  • This fellowship program, originally implemented by the MacArthur Foundation, was transferred to the Population Council. The program’s objective is to support individuals who wish to develop innovative approaches—including action and/or research initiatives and advocacy and communications strategies—in the areas of reproductive and sexual health and rights. Fellows have expertise in a range of disciplines, including the social sciences, medicine and health, management, law, and education.
  • The program calls for submissions from interested individuals located anywhere in India. An advisory group makes the final selections, and the Council provides capacity-building and technical support. Projects last anywhere from 12 to 24 months.

International Senior Research Fellowships

  • support outstanding researchers, either medically qualified or science graduates, who wish to establish a research career in an academic institution. We usually expect applicants for this scheme to have spent a significant period of their postdoctoral (or equivalent) research career working outside their chosen country. However proposals can also be considered from those who have pursued successful careers entirely in-country. Applications are particularly encouraged from outstanding scientists working outside their own countries who wish to return home.

University of Westminster – Cavendish research scholarship

  • Amount: Full tuition fee waiver, available over three years subject to satisfactory academic progress.
  • Eligibility: You must be from India and plan to study a postgraduate research programme (MPhil or PhD) at the Cavendish site.
  • Criteria: Academic excellence, development potential and financial need.

    I`m from Darfur region west Darfur – Algenina city , graduated from University of Dongla College of earth science and mining Diploma 3yearsit is therefore my hamble request that you support me study a Bachlor’s degree in any scientce related to WASor civil engineering to equip me with the necessary knowledge and skills to contribute to the devastated and/or infant Sudanese,,,,, since my graduation 2004 i jointed WES [water and sanitation and envirenment project as Go, after 2 years I1m working with NGOs as same activities water and sanitation and hygiene promation , , I have experiences more then 5 years , I have sudanese certificate ,my family very poor beside , unable to cover thire needs .
