German Turkish Graduate Scholarship Program in Social Sciences

This program know as GeT MA (German Turkish Masters Program) has these characteristics

It is for students interested in the Social Sciences
Iti s a unique, interdisciplinary, 2 year graduate program
It offers an great education in two excellent cities: Berlin and Ankara.
It is for students from around the globe who are desired to further their career with governmental agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGO’s). This is also for those interested in research, administration and journalism.
It is hosted at 2 different universities – These are Humboldt Universität in Berlin, Germany and University Ankara in Turkey
all over the world who aim to pursue an international career in government agencies, NGOs, administration, journalism or research.
It is funded through 2 different organizations. These are DAAD and the Foreign Ministries department of Turkey

Graduates obtain a Dual-Master of Arts in Social Sciences from both universities.
All course of taught in English because many students come from all over the world
Participants take additional classes in German or Turkish during the time spend in Ankara

The GeT MA provides this

four full scholarships
This includes full tuition fees and a monthly stipends.
In addition to this there also are some tuition fee reductions available to qualified students
If you are interested in these scholarships you need to state your need in their statement of purpose. This is found in the application (see below)
Who receives a scholarship is decided during the admissions process.
You are notified if you have received the scholarship at the same time you are offered admission.

The admission process consists of:

submission of the application package and
an interview with the GeT MA admissions committee.
Both METU and HU accept applications.
Where an applicant submits the application package depends on the place the qualification for university entrance was acquired.
