Scholarship Overview

  • Danish higher education institutions receive a limited number of government scholarships each year to fund highly qualified full-degree students from non-EU/EEA countries and Switzerland.
  • Several Danish schools offer undergraduate scholarships for African students and other students from other non-EU countries
  • Studying in Denmark can also pave way for scholars to meet new people with different nationalities that would enable them to widen their network. It would also give them a chance to learn from different cultures and widen their perspectives in different issues and dialogues.

Host School

  • Danish education takes pride in providing their students a holistic approach to learning by incorporating field work and group works to traditional classroom lectures.  In this way, students do not only learn the principles and theories behind their chosen field but they also learn through practical experience and exposure to their chosen industry.
  • The Danes also take pride in their fondness of biking which gives students an opportunity to learn in a clean environment, free from air pollution.
  • Interested students may apply for scholarships to the following Danish academic institutions:

  • Copenhagen Business School (CBS)
  • offers a comprehensive range of academic degrees in business economics and modern languages for undergraduate scholarships. CBS also offers integrated programmes that combine business studies and modern languages with other areas such as:

What does the scholarship cover?

  • The government scholarship consists of two parts and can be given as full or partial tuition fee waivers and/or grants towards covering your living costs.
  • However, since the scholarships are administered by the individual higher education institution you should inquire at the institution of your choice for further details.

How many scholarships are given?

  • The number of scholarships to be given vary depending on the institution of choice

Which countries are targeted?

  • Students from African nations and other non-EU countries

Am I Eligible to Apply?

In order to be eligible for a scholarship you must be:

  • A citizen of a country outside the EU, the European Economic Area or Switzerland
  • Enrolled in a full degree higher education program
  • Granted a time-limited residence permit in Denmark due to education

How to Apply – Next Steps

  • The scholarships are administered by the Danish institutions of higher education, each of which decides which students will receive a scholarship.

    am a ugandan male aged 26. i hold a second class upper bachelors degree in agriculture but would like to study a masters degree in crop science from any university in the world. this would enable me participate in the fight against hunger among the poor ugandan communities. please help me out in Gods name.
