To whom it may concern
My name is Batista Manuel; I’m 19 year old male from Angola and currently staying as a refugee in South Africa.
In 2007 I got an interview for a bursary in a school called Hoerskool WaterKloof Aviation Academy, which was sponsored by OR Tambo and I passed the interview with flying colors. I went to the school for 3years; within those 3years I learned how to fly a plane, flying a plane had become my passion and not to mention I was good at it, I have 6-7 hours in flying. After my grade 12 we had to wait for OR Tambo to call us, so that we could further our flying career as future pilots, but that did not happen due to OR Tambo having financial crisis. Instead of just sitting around and waiting for OR Tambo to call us, I decided to apply for the naïve air force, so I can continue to build on my flying hours but that was unsuccessful due to the fact that I was not a South African Citizen. So I decided to study Software Development which is my second passion, I’m currently studying Information Technology in the University of Johannesburg, doing my second year by God’s will , because my parents are really going all out for me to get my education. Every year the school fees goes up and that is really putting a strain on my parents.
If I had the chance to fly I would take it with both hands! If there is anything you can do to help me fly or finish my course I would be very grateful. If you need to contact me, my cell number is: 277443221 or 011 487-2997 0r by email-batimanuel@gmail.com.
Thank you for your time
