Thanks to the participation of a number of companies and institutions, the Barcelona GSE is able to offer a number of tuition waivers and fully-funded scholarships based on academic merit. These highly competitive financial awards help the School attract the best and brightest international students.

An internationally recognized tradition of excellence has been the solid ground in which the Barcelona GSE was founded in July 2006. Barcelona GSE integrates and supports the active international community of economists, developing new research activities, supporting the PhD programs in economics of Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and offering new innovativeMaster Programs, as well as modular courses in Summer Schools or through the academic year.

What does the scholarship cover?

Waivers – are reductions of 100%, 75%, 50% or 25% on tuition fees. All students, including those awarded a tuition waiver, must pay a 1000€ reservation fee to confirm their place in the program.
Scholarships – Thanks to the participation of a number of companies and institutions, the Barcelona GSE is able to offer a number of tuition waivers and fully-funded scholarships based on academic merit. These highly competitive financial awards help the School attract the best and brightest international students. Preference in admission and financial aid will be given to those candidates who submit their applications before January 15.

How do I Apply – Next Steps

There is no separate application process for scholarships. When you submit a complete master program application, you will be automatically considered for all available financial awards.

Applicants who wish to be considered for financial aid are advised to apply during the first admissions round (November 15 – January 15).
