Financial Aid
Middlebury’s comprehensive fee for 2008-09 is $49,210. The comprehensive fee includes a student’s room, board, tuition and activities fee for the full academic year (September through May). Students should plan on an additional $2,750 to cover the cost of books and a reasonable amount of spending money.
In addition to the above expenses, all students must pay for their transportation to the United States and once in the United States toMiddlebury , VT. They must also have funds to feed and shelter themselves during the Thanksgiving, December, and spring vacation periods and to return home for the long summer vacation.
Financial assistance at Middlebury is based entirely on established need and, to the degree resources permit, is offered to international students on the same basis as it is to U.S. citizens. Each student is expected to contribute a minimum of $1,800 toward first-year expenses, and a minimum of $2,200 each year as sophomores, juniors and seniors.

The Application
International candidates are not required to file any special forms, but should take care to fully document their academic and personal profiles.Middlebury requires all applicants to file our Pre-Application Supplement and the Common Application. The Transcript Request and Mid-Year Report forms provided with our application package may not pertain to all international educational systems, so candidates should ask their secondary school administrators to forward all appropriate transcripts, standardized tests and recommendations to the Admissions Office.
The fee for applying to Middlebury College is US $65. Payment may be made by MasterCard, Visa, check or money order. Please contact Student Financial Services (802-443-5158) if you prefer to wire the application fee.

I am in Africa. My home land as well as citezenship is Ethiopia but I live in Sudan as a refugee. I have been awarded B.A (Honour) degree from the University of Juba, College of Arts and Humanities, Dept. of English language in the begining of 2010 scoring 3.41 GPA. I have been looking forward if I can get free oversea cholarship to do my Masters to raise my competence level. I am interested in field of studies like international releationship, peace and developments, human resource management, sociology or related social and developmental studies.
