FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Ambassadors Girls’ Scholarship Program (AGSP)

  • Educationalists (FAWE) Rwanda is an NGO bringing together African women, Ministers of Education, officials in charge of Education, and other decision makers in matters of education. 1640 girls in the all the districts of Rwanda.
  • Amajyambere Iwacu Action (AIA) is a faith-based group affiliated with the Nyamasheke Parish in Cynangugu. AIA targets socially disadvantaged peoples in Rwanda, focusing especially in working with the Batwa communities. 321 girls in the all the Cynangugu region in south-western Rwanda. 313 girls are primary and 8 girls are secondary (purple star on map).

Orphans of Rwanda

  • Scholarships for university education for young people who have completed secondary school and scored high on university entrance examinations. ORI awards full university scholarships to a select group of talented and deserving students, who matriculate at the Rwandan university of their choice. ORI four year scholarships provide tuition, books and a living allowance.

Great Lakes of Africa Scholarship

  • Through the generosity of Chairman of the Board of Trustees Samuel Hamil Jr., College of the Atlantic is pleased to offer the Great Lakes of Africa Scholarship. This scholarship provides an exemplary and promising student from the Great Lakes Region of Africa with the full financial assistance needed to attend COA. Tuition, room, board, books and health insurance are all covered by the Great Lakes of Africa Scholarship. In addition, there is funding for the student to return home each summer.

York University

  • International Scholarship Program for Africa (4). VALUE: $100,000 ($25,000 x 4 years). Must be citizen of an African country. To renew — maintain high academic standing (7.8 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York.

Australian Development Scholarship Program (ADS)

Embassy of Belgium in Kigali

  • Under the Belgian political development cooperation, the Minister of Development Cooperation and the Directorate General for Development Cooperation (DGIS) grant annually a small number of scholarships training postgraduate and doctoral mixed s ‘Specifically address the resource persons in developing countries. The identification of beneficiaries of this scholarship program is entrusted to the Attaché Cooperation near the Belgian Embassy in Kigali.
  • AREAS OF INTERVENTION OF THE BELGIAN COOPERATION – Nominations must be linked to the priority sectors of Belgian international cooperation (health, justice, food security, education and basic infrastructure) and / or consistent with the themes selected (respect for the environment , Gender equality, social economy and strengthening institutional).

    I am Dr. Edward Ruseesa, a Rwandan aged 30 years. I have a degree in general medicine obtained from the National University of Rwanda in 2008 and have been working with international NGOs in public health sector.
    A masters in public health would put me in a better position to assist my fellow Rwandans and other people as regards public health issues but i am not capable of sponsoring myself.
