Dear Sir / Madam,
Re: Application for a Scholarship
I hereby want to apply for a scholarship to your noble and life changing organization. After carefully reading and observing your work, vision and mission, more especially your Programs in Education, I truly saw a big and real sense of hope through your organization.
Dear Sir, as my back ground is so scruffy without any “hope” in it, allow me to express myself and hope to see hope to my coming future through your righteous organization. I am a Burundian refugee living in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi for the past 17 years. I was violently forced out of school in 1994, while I was just started my 1st year of University, and later on after the loss of both parents and some members of my family, I saw no hope of surviving and I had to flee the country without knowing where I was going. With the protection of All Might God, I was just escaped from terrible violent torture, full of wounds in my body, I was found myself through people’s help (some Priests) in the country of Malawi. I was sheltered in the camp that I am up to now, since 1995 when I arrived, with only food assistance, till today. I struggled in this camp in almost everything as this country does not allow any of us, refugees, to either do tertial education or working. We are condemned to remain like this all our life, and this is the reason why I had to stretch out my hands and see if I can be helped in any way or another, on my further education. They are several Colleges and Private University which are ready to accept us, as refugees, to enroll with their colleges/University as long as you have a sponsor for your education. Please Sir, I humbly ask for a scholarship from your noble organisation or any of the sponsor organisation you may direct me to.
I am confident that once assisted to this Sir, I will also try my best and make an impact in my community as we are all same people no matter segregation and xenophobia system that is used on us. Kindly help me to have a carrier that I will at least relay on so that I should be a useful person in this world.
I am looking forward for your assistance.
Thank you for your kindness to read my message and may God bless you and your family.
Yours truly
Philip RUZUNGA
