A good opportunity but not one of the best
Why Georgia College?
We are one of U.S. News and World Report’s Top 15 public universities in the south. And the Kaplan/Newsweek College Guide names Georgia College as one of the country’s most academically competitive universities. More than 40 majors are offered in undergraduate and graduate programs in the Schools of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, and Health Sciences. Georgia College is accredited through the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Universities and Schools, and all programs are accredited through their specific authorities.
Georgia College welcomes international students and the diverse backgrounds they bring to our campus, and encourages all students to study abroad.
We assist international students through the admissions process, as well as provide information and counseling to the more than 100 enrolled international students from 50 countries on non-immigrant student visa regulations and processes, medical insurance, housing, financial and work issues, adjustment to life in the U.S. and academic concerns.
International Student Scholarships (ISS)
- These scholarships are awarded as either a full out-of-state tuition waiver or a half out-of-state tuition waiver, and are awarded on the basis of demonstrated academic ability, evidence of extra-curricular involvement and financial need. To be considered for the ISS, applicants must have on file a completed application for admission and completed ISS application by the stated deadline. Those international students who have not been awarded an ISS prior to attendance at GCSU can compete once a year for a limited number of available ISSs. Applications for the International Student Scholarship are included in the International Student Undergraduate Application for Admission form. Click here to download the application.
Scholarships for Incoming Freshmen
- Students who are admitted by February 1 for fall semester are automatically considered for most academic scholarships. Those students who apply by November 1 are given preference. The selection process is highly competitive. For more information, click here.

Dear sir/ madam
First I would like thank all the agencies and any body how sponsor this pregame that helping many students around the world and give them the opportunity to start new future studies that was not available in them country for many reason.
To me I am belong for poor family from south Sudan my parent live the south Sudan during civil war in 1983 I born in Khartoum in 1986 and I grow in north Sudan and finish my basic study and my secondary school study when my father dead I n 18/06/2006 I stop my studies and started work to help my family I join to university of juba in 2008.
During my studies in university of juba I was interesting for any news related with studies opportunity or scholarsh
Her in Sudan no equal opportunity for studies especially for as like southern students who are studies in north.
The education system is not stable without standardized.
Her in my country is very difficult to someone tow work an study because both the education and work system is not helpful.
The economic situation is not good so that families they can’t able to pay the school fees or the liabilities for studies proses.
All the people prefer to get studies in Europe or North America because there high level of education and special them government.
