Scholarship Overview

  • The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a merit-based award offered to international students with excellent academic undergraduate and/or master’s results. It targets students who have a strong interest in doing research leading to a PhD in Science and Engineering at partner universities in Singapore.
  • This scholarship award is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the Singapore Management University (SMU), and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

  • A*STAR research institutes, the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the Singapore Management University (SMU), and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

Field(s) of Study

  • PhD studies in Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Physical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences.

What does the scholarship cover?

  • Tuition fees
  • A monthly stipend of S$2,200 which is increased to S$2,700 after one passes the Qualifying Examination
  • A one-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500
  • A one-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000

Am I Eligible to Apply?

To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an international student.
  • Be an international graduate with a passion for research and excellent academic results.
  • Have good skills in written and spoken English.
  • Have good reports from your academic referees.

  • A recent passport-sized photo in JPEG/PNG format
  • Bachelors academic transcripts translated into English if necessary
  • Bachelor’s degree certificate or a letter of certification from the university if your degree has not yet been conferred
  • Master’s academic transcripts translated into English if necessary
  • Master’s degree certificate or a letter of certification from the university if your degree has not yet been conferred
  • 2 recommendation reports completed and submitted online by your referees

    I have completed a B.A. Biblical Studies Degree with a US University. Now I must pay some money “Donation ” so that I can get my certificate. I therefore pray for the sponsor to pay for the donation. Because of poor financial background I do not have this money but I want to preach the word of God.
