Bursaries and Scholarship for South African Matriculants and Tertiary Students
Telkom South Africa offers international Scholarship for South African Matriculants and Tertiary students to pursue undergraduate studies. The grants cover four years of study.
Fields of study
University: Undergraduate
Engineering:
- B Engineering Electronic and Computer Engineering
- B Engineering Electronic / Electrical (Light Current)
- B Sc Engineering Electronic / Electrical (Light Current)
Academic Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate: Mathematics and Physical Sciences minimum NSC Rating of 7 (80%), an NSC Rating of 5 (60%) in English and an aggregate NSC Rating of 5 (60%)
- Tertiary students: Overall average minimum 60% and no failed courses or subjects
Computer Science/Information Technology:
- B Sc Computer Science
- B Sc Information Technology
- B Sc Software Development
Academic Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate: Mathematics and Physical Sciences minimum NSC Rating of 6 (70%), an NSC Rating of 5 (60%) in English and an aggregate NSC Rating of 5 (60%).
- Tertiary students: Overall average minimum 60% and no failed courses or subjects
Marketing:
- B Com Information Technology, majoring in Marketing
- B Com Information Systems, majoring in Marketing
- B Business Science, majoring in Marketing
- B Com Marketing Management
Academic Requirements:
(Preference will be given to candidates with sound English Communication Skills)
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate: Mathematics and Accounting minimum NSC Rating of 5 (60%), an NSC Rating of 5 (60%) in English and an aggregate NSC Rating of 5 (60%)
- Tertiary students: Overall average minimum 60% and no failed courses or subjects
University of Technology (Technikon – type): Undergraduate
Engineering:
- ND Computer Systems Engineering
- ND Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
Academic Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate: Mathematics and Physical Sciences minimum NSC Rating of 6 (70%), an NSC Rating of 4 (50%) in English and an aggregate NSC Rating of 4 (50%).

Information Technology:
- ND Information Technology (Communication Networks)
- ND Information Technology (Technical Applications)
Academic Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate: Mathematics and Physical Sciences minimum NSC Rating of 5 (60%), an NSC Rating of 4 (50%) in English and an aggregate NSC Rating of 4 (50%).
- Tertiary students: Overall average minimum 60% and no failed courses or subjects

In the absence of Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy will only be considered if the applicant has an NSC rating of 7 (80%) or more for Mathematical Literacy.

Students with good academic performance can get opportunities to study Engineering courses, Computer Science Courses or Marketing courses through these scholarships. Be sure to check that you meet all the requirements for Scholarship for South African.
