- The Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship aims to assist Nigerian students who are poor and diligent and may have no financial means to complete their tertiary education.
- This scholarship targets students who are already registered at tertiary institutions in Nigeria, and display good academic performance.

What does the scholarship cover?
- Each student will receive one hundred thousand Naira (N100,000) towards their studies.
- 20 students will receive this award, making the total scholarship value two million Naira (N2,000,000).

- 20 scholarships are awarded every year.
Which countries are targeted?
- This scholarship is for Nigerian students only.
Am I Eligible to Apply?
To qualify for this scholarship, you must:
- Be poor and diligent, and show commitment to your studies
- Be a registered student of a Nigerian tertiary institution
- Have good academic performance
- Not have been a beneficiary of the same scholarship in the past
How Do I Apply – Next Steps
Each applicant must submit an application letter, not more than two (2) pages long. The letter must include the following:
- Name of the candidate
- Course and year of study
- State of origin
- Reason why the candidate believes he or she deserves the scholarship award
The application letter must be accompanied by:
- A photocopy of the applicant’s current identity card
- A letter from the candidate’s current Head of Department, including correct information on the candidate’s CGPA for the last academic session
- A letter from registrar certifying that the candidate is a student of the institution
- A copy of the candidate’s registration form for the current semester
- Two (2) current passport photographs.
