in UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
College of Saint Elizabeth – International Student Scholarship – Women’s College
- Each fall semester, the Women’s College awards two full scholarships covering tuition, room and board. Those selected for these highly competitive scholarships must prove that they can cover all remaining costs including transportation, books, insurance, personal expenses, etc.
- Only international students who are applying as full-time, first year students in the Women’s College are eligible for these full scholarships.
- All scholarships are renewable for a maximum of four years provided that the student maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- All scholarship applicants are required to submit documents and test scores, including TOEFL and SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), in advance of the March 1 deadline. Only students who have taken the SAT and have a confirmed score over 1150 are encouraged to apply if they need a full tuition scholarship.
- Women’s College Scholarship Application Deadlines. The scholarship application deadline is March 1 for Fall Semester scholarships; and November 1 for Spring Semester scholarships. (Please note: These are not the deadlines for admission to the College, but only for scholarship applications. The College of Saint Elizabeth has a rolling admissions deadline.)
Jane M. Klausman – Women in Business Scholarships
- Women of any nationality pursuing undergraduate business degrees who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field are eligible. Be eligible to enter the third or fourth year of an under-graduate degree program at an accredited university/ college/institute program at the time funds are received from Zonta International Headquarters in November. Have achieved an outstanding academic record during the first two-three years of academic studies. Demonstrate intent to complete a program in business and show outstanding achievement in business-related subjects, as recorded on the official university/college/institute transcript. The scholarship award of US$5,000 may be used for tuition, books or living expenses at any university, college or institution offering accredited business courses and degrees.
Mount Holyoke – Foreign Fellowship Program
- awards 13 fellowships annually to international students who assist in the modern foreign language departments (Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish) while studying for the Certificate for International Students. Most of these awards are connected to direct exchanges with universities in countries where these languages are spoken. However, four of these awards are open to students who are native speakers of Italian, or Spanish, who have completed at least one year of university study in their home country, and who expect to return home after completion of their studies in the United States. Foreign fellowships cover full tuition, room and board, and a stipend for four to six hours of work per week as conversation assistants in the language departments. Completed applications are due February 1 each year.

AAUW International Fellowships
- Awarded for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not United States citizens or permanent residents. Both graduate and postgraduate study at accredited institutions are supported. Several of fellowships are available for study outside of the U.S. for members of the International Federation of University women.
P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship
- The International Peace Scholarship Fund, established in 1949, is a program which provides scholarships for selected women from other countries for graduate study in the United States and Canada.
- awards are not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses. At the time of application, the applicant is required to confirm additional financial resources adequate to meet her estimated expenses. Examples of additional resources are personal and family funds, tuition waivers, work scholarships, teaching assistantships, study grants and other scholarships.
University of Birmingham – Florence Congleton Scholarship Award
- This award was set up in 1986 to enable an African woman to study full time in the School of Education.
- The School of Education is an Associated School of UNESCO and the Florence Congleton Scholarship is now assigned to a female student from Africa who wishes to pursue study in one of the UNESCO themes of education for peace, democracy, human rights and sustainable development (or related issues). The Master’s and Doctorate programmes are available for this scholarship.
Women’s Leadership Scholarship (WLS)
- Creates educational opportunities for women activists, grassroots leaders, and organizers from the Global South and/or from indigenous groups. WLS invests in women’s leadership by supporting non-doctoral graduate education in human rights, sustainable development, and public health in many places around the world.

HEC – Foundation Rainbow Bridge Scholarship
- Recognized among the world’s top business schools, HEC Paris consistently earns a place in the top-10 rankings for European MBA programs and the top-18 rankings worldwide.
- Enables young women recipients to enrich their academic background by obtaining an HEC MBA. Recipients of this scholarship are top-calibre female candidates who have been admitted to the HEC MBA program and who can demonstrate exemplary leadership skills in one or more of the following areas: Community work, Charity engagement, and Sustainable development practices. Women applying must come from an Asian or African country affected by a natural disaster, drought or famine.
- Deutsche Bank Scholarships for Women
- Award amount: Up to three scholarships at £20,000 each
- Eligibility: Women MBA students only
Overview: These extremely generous awards are designed to enable talented women with an interest in the finance sector to study at London Business School. Successful MBA recipients of the scholarship will be fast-tracked to final round summer internship interviews - Application format: Details on how to apply for this award will be made available to successful candidates once an offer of a place on the MBA Programme has been made.

Theological Education Scholarship Fund for Women in the South
- Established in 2001 and has proven to be a very effective way to encourage member churches to accept women in the ordained ministry.
- The main purpose of the scholarship fund is to increase the number of women in the ordained ministry and to enable women from a wide network of Reformed churches in the South to build their capacity for effective partnership in God’s mission.
- The Theological Education Scholarship Fund for Women in the South provides for first degree or diploma studies which are done at a seminary or college in the home country or region of scholarship awardees. From 2002-2006, forty-two women from Argentina, Brazil, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Guyana, India, Kenya, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nigeria, the Republic of Congo, Rwanda, South Africa, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda and Venezuela have received awards from the fund and are being prepared for the ordained ministry.

Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship
- As part of Google’s ongoing commitment to furthering Anita’s vision, we are pleased to announce The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship: Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Through the scholarship, we aim to encourage women to excel in computing and technology, and become active role models and leaders.
- Multiple scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of candidates’ academic performance, leadership experience and demonstrated passion for computer science. A group of female Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD student finalists will be chosen from the applicant pool. The scholarship recipients will each receive a €7,000 (or equivalent) scholarship.
Fellowship Fund of Australian Federation of University Women
- AFUW QLD has been providing Fellowships and scholarships for postgraduate research or study since 1972. AFUWQ is part of the Australian Federation of University Women which is the national federation of the International Federation of University Women . Our Fellowships have been awarded to women graduates from more than ten countries, and have supported studies in a wide range of disciplines, for example: marine biology, architecture, law, literature, radiography, mathematics, social work, archaeology, economics, molecular biology, management, music, information technology and performing arts. Our aim is to assist women with tertiary qualifications to increase their knowledge and broaden their experience through studying or working in a different environment.
The Mary Isabel Sibley Fellowship
- Awarded alternately in the fields of Greek and French. The award may be used for the study of Greek language, literature, history or archaeology, or the study of French language or literature. The fellowship has a stipend of $20,000. The stipend will be paid in two installments, the first on July 1 of the award year and the second on the next January 1, unless the Fellowship Committee orders the stipend withheld because the fellow has disregarded the purpose of the award as stated by the donor.
- Candidates must be unmarried women 25 to 35 years of age who have demonstrated their ability to carry on original research. They must hold a doctorate or have fulfilled all the requirements for a doctorate except the dissertation, and they must be planning to devote full-time work to research during the fellowship year. The award is not restricted to members of Phi Beta Kappa or to U.S. citizens.
Third World Organization for Women in Science
- Postgraduate Training Fellowships for Women Scientists from Sub-Saharan Africa and Least Developed Countries (LDC) at Centres of Excellence in the South. The Fellowship is offered to women scientists to purse postgraduate research in the following fields of basic sciences: biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics. The fellowships are highly competitive, and the selection will be based on scientific competence and merit. The fellowships are open to qualified young women science graduates (generally below 40 years of age) from countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and/or LDCs.
African Women’s Development Fund
- The AWDF funds local, national, sub-regional and regional organisations in Africa working towards women’s empowerment. The AWDF is an institutional capacity-building and programme development fund, which aims to help build a culture of learning and partnerships within the African women’s movement
African Women Public Service Fellowship
a fellowship program made possible by a donation from the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, which expands the opportunity for African women to prepare for public service in their home countries. The awards support tuition, housing, travel to and from the United States and a small stipend to cover books and miscellaneous expenses.
International Federation of University Women
Offers a limited number of international fellowships and grants to women graduates for postgraduate research, study and training.
Alpha Delta Kappa International Teacher Education Program
Provides foreign students the opportunity:
To study in American universities and colleges;
To learn about the philosophy of education, methods, and materials of instruction in the United States;
To observe democracy in action;
To share their experiences with people both in the United States and abroad.
Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund
To support the education of women from developing countries who are committed to improving the lives of women and children in a developing country. For students from developing countries who are currently studying in the United States or Canada, the MMMF awards annually about ten grants of approximately $11,000 each; grants are not renewable.

Are there any scholarships for women in the Pacific Islands? I am a young woman from Papua New Guinea and am 31 years old now. I have been trying to get a scholarship all my life since I was 20 years but with no luck. With little I saved from work I could achieve a certificate in TESOL but I feel this is not enough, the world is becaming more challenging .
