Australian Development Scholarship Program (ADS)

Number of scholarships available for 2009 intake : 2
- provides scholarships to students who wish to pursue a postgraduate degree (mainly Master’s degrees of one or two years) in either the United Kingdom or South Africa.
Finnish Government Scholarship Pool
- offers scholarships of 3-9 months for Doctoral level studies, research and teaching at a higher education institution in Finland. The Finnish Government Scholarship Pool programme is open to young researchers from all academic fields. The scholarships can not be applied for post-Doctoral studies or research.
- The scholarships are based mainly on cultural agreements or similar arrangements between Finland and the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Mongolia, Namibia, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine.
Rhodes Scholarships in Southern Africa
- The Scholarship is for full-time study and pays your entire tuition fee. It provides you with a comfortable living allowance of £11,000 per year, and also pays the cost of transport for you and your necessary belongings to and from Oxford .
- There are ten Scholarships available in Southern Africa each year.
University of Edinburgh Southern African Scholarships
- will offer two scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University to students from Southern African countries. One of the scholarships will be available for a one year Master’s degree programme and the other scholarship for a three year PhD degree programme.
- The scholarship covers the overseas rate of tuition fee and University accommodation for the duration of the postgraduate degree programme.

I just graduated from the University of Namibia in 2010 for the Bachelor degree in Economics. However, i am still not ready for the job market as i feel that i have not acquired sufficient knowledge, hence, i am looking for scholarship to further my study on the master level.

Hi guys. I know there are a lot of students that want to study under and post graduate. BITE (British Institute iof Technology and e Commerce) based in east and CENTRAL London is currently looking for African students. Methinks that if a lot of students apply in an umbrella group, there will be scholarships and bursaries awarded depending on the size of the applications. Fees are currently around the 5k mark but what’s good about this place is that the more students are introduced by fellow students, the introducing student gets his fee reduced. Each student is worth 500 to another student. I have said this before but the goal is too swamp this institution with African and Asian students, pakistan ,China, Ghana, Sierra Leone, etc …. not in any way negative, but just too give us a boost. Check the BITE website or call St James Business School. And remember, scholarships and bursaries are given to the brightest student but also to groups seeking admission. Wish you guys all the best.
