Scholarships Offered by the Israeli Government to Foreign Students
- The Government of Israel is pleased to offer scholarships to foreign students, as agreed in the Cultural Agreements between Israel and the following countries:
- Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada (Quebec Province), China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Mexico, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Republic of Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey.
- Only citizens of these countries may apply.
- Different types of scholarships are offered: Summer language courses (Ulpan) or One academic year, or Research scholarships
- Basic Requirements: The applicant must hold a BA or BSc degree (or higher) and have a good record of academic achievement.
SBS Scholarship Programs
- The Swiss Benevolent Society of New York awards deserving students the following types of scholarships. For applicants, we invite you to read through the following sections, detailing the programs, eligibility requirements, application procedures and a brief history of scholarships and grants we award to students.
Pellegrini Scholarships
- Pellegrini Scholarships are partial tuition grants, awarded at the post-secondary school level for vocational or undergraduate and graduate academic studies at an accredited school. They are based on need and merit (Grade Point Average 3.0 min.) or on merit alone. Pellegrini Scholarships do not renew automatically, but may be applied for each year.
- Pellegrini scholarships are paid directly to the recipients’ schools in two installments, one at the beginning of the Fall semester, the other at the start of the Spring semester.
Sonia S. Maguire Outstanding Scholastic Achievement (OSA) Awards
- This award may be granted to a college senior or graduate student who demonstrates sustained academic excellence (cumulative Grade Point Average at least 3.8) in a demanding study program. It is a one-time only award, and the full amount is paid to the recipient’s school at the start of the Fall semester.
Medicus Student Exchange
- This program provides partial financial support for U.S. residents at the junior, senior or graduate college level who have been accepted to study at a Swiss University or Federal Institute of Technology. The full amount of these grants is paid directly to the students upon proof of registration. They are not renewable.
- Swiss students who wish to study in the United States may apply for this grant by contacting CRUS, Sennweg 2, 3012 Bern Switzerland
- Students who are in the greater New York area with a F-1 visa may also apply for a Medicus grant.
Zimmermann Scholarships
- Zimmermann Scholarships will be awarded to the graduate students with the highest cumulative Grade Point Average (3.8 min.). They are not renewable and are paid directly to the schools at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.

Thank you for sending me your Application and admission documents, we will evaluate your file and get back to you as soon as possible. Please refer to the information below concerning the enrolment procedure:
Application procedures & visa:
Once your application documents have been received by our admission office (step 1 of application procedures), the operating account which is equal SFr. 3,000/- should be paid upon receipt of the PLOA (provisional letter of acceptance) – step 2. This amount is used towards health insurance, professional uniform, books, etc. and needs to be restocked at the beginning of the each following term but you will be advised on what to do.
Upon receipt of the amount SFr. 3,000/-, you will be issued with a LOA (letter of acceptance) – step 3 in application procedures – meaning your file is complete, a place has been reserved for on campus and can now begin your visa process. Before collection of your visa, you will need to pay a term in advance before collecting your visa. Should we require any other information from at this time, you will be advised accordingly on what to do.
Please take note of the following:
a) The visa process takes approximately 8 weeks to be approved.
b) You will have to pay one term fee towards your tuition before approval and collection of your visa.
c) Proof of funds – In addition to the admission requirements, you will also need to send with this a bank statement showing that your parents (you) have enough funds to support you while taking your studies in Switzerland throughout the year.
Based on the above information, the final decision is upon the immigration dealing with the visa issues of whether your application has convinced them that you are coming for your studies and upon completion you will return home for work and put into practice the knowledge gained here in school.

Godbless to those who read my message for willing to help me without any condition as a matters..I’m here for you Sir/Mam knocking in your heart to hear me through this message..I want to pursue for studying in bible school but i have no enough money to get education in bible school,In fact tried more applying scholarship here in philippines but i cant gave a chance to have a schoolarship..And one thing very hurted for me is the christian school or christian colleges are after for money,even you have a calling will not get opportunity to avail free schoolarship.i wish i could get education free for visa,ticket and boarding house because for my own money it will not afford so that i’m belong to the poor family.I really begging to the poor students even they are deserving to get education if no money they will not contenue schooling or thier studies.Now adays no money no education even the christian bible schools after in money they look to the student who had money afford to pay tuition fee..even the churches now after to the members of church who lot of money..Very terible,Where is God..Many years i’m looking schoolarship to help me but till now nothing..i saw to the school of bible schools are not for in God but they are in money..pls help me,i cried out everytime i’m failured sometimes i said to my its better that i’m not found Jesus Christ because even christians leaders of churches after in money….i pray for the person to help me i wish who can read my message your be the one to help me and to contact me or emailing me,,pls dont get angry to my message because i show out heart ache regarding for what i saw..Godbless you all more blessings to come..im ERICSON BEONCIO contact no:09215363769 email add:e.beoncio@yahoo.com
