Concordia University

• The Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards Committee and the Financial Aid and Awards Office would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the ever-growing number of donors and sponsors who provide generous support and recognition to students through the establishment of Undergraduate scholarships, bursaries, and awards every year at Concordia University.
• Awards available to International students. Please note: Some of the following awards are restricted. Please read the detail information to verify your eligibility.

Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning

• has strengthened its commitment to international students and is pleased to offer the following Scholarships:

Dalhousie University – Scholarships and Fellowships

• High school students admitted to Dalhousie are eligible for various scholarships. Transfer or mature students will be considered for scholarships after completing one year of study at Dalhousie (refer to current undergraduate students for more information). Students admitted to third year Engineering, please see the Faculty of Engineering for scholarship information.
• All Dalhousie University entrance scholarship and bursary offers for Fall will be available through Dal Online as of April 16. Official offers will also be mailed to successful candidates within Canada and emailed to those outside of Canada.

EMILY CARR INSTITUTE ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS

• The following tuition scholarships are available to first, second and third year students enrolled in 12 or more credits at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in the spring semester. Applications for Emily Carr Tuition Scholarships are made available in March of each spring semester.
• Students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.33 at the time of application in order to be eligible to apply for scholarships. Students ineligible to apply for these scholarships include fourth year students, students on academic probation and students with a cumulative GPA below 3.33.

Humber College – Full Tuition Renewable Scholarships

• Humber offers three full tuition renewable scholarships (Approximate value $12,200 CAD). These scholarships are available for NEW international students only (two offered in September and one offered in January of each year). Applications will be considered based on academics, community involvement, referee/reference letters and statement of interest. Renewal of the scholarship will be based on the student’s ability to maintain a 70% GPA in each year of his/her program at Humber. An application form will be included with your acceptance package. The scholarships will be applied toward the successful students’ tuition fees.
  

Mount Allison University – Confederation Scholarships

• Mount Allison attracts some of the most talented and creative minds from across the country and around the world and rewards these students with one of the strongest and most competitive scholarship and bursary programs in Canada. Every student has the opportunity to earn a scholarship, regardless of the degree program or the year of study. Mount Allison attempts to make scholarship funds available on an equitable basis across the entire student population.
• The University awards scholarships to entering students for academic achievement and extracurricular involvement. Students are considered for scholarship eligibility automatically and part of the Admissions process.
• All students who apply to Mount Allison University by the application deadline of March 15, along with the official transcript that includes final grades for first term grade 12 courses, are considered for entrance scholarships. All entering students who indicate the intention to pursue a course of study leading to a career as a medical doctor will automatically be considered for the Goodridge Scholarship.
• Scholarships awarded to entering students are tenable as long as the student is carrying a full course load of 30.0 credits over the Fall and Winter terms, and all other conditions of the award are fulfilled. Entrance scholarships range from $500 to $5,000 and most are fully renewable as stated in the scholarship offer letter.

Mount Saint Vincent University

• is proud to have a generous scholarship program that not only recognizes outstanding academic performance, but helps alleviate the cost of going to university. During the 2009-2010 academic year, the Mount offered nearly one million dollars in entrance scholarships.
• Students in the Advanced Placement or the International Baccalaureate program are considered for entrance scholarships.  International students and high school graduates who have not attended a post-secondary institution and are within one year of graduation will also be considered for entrance scholarships.

Queen’s University Scholarships

• A limited number of Entrance Scholarships, valued at $9,000 CDN, are offered to international students (including American students) entering the first year of any undergraduate program at Queen’s. Awarded on the basis of superior academic ability, these scholarships do not require separate application.
• After each year of studies at Queen’s, all students are eligible to receive scholarships, prizes and awards based on their previous year’s achievements. The University disburses more than 2.6 million dollars annually in merit-based awards to continuing students. Approximately 6% of our upper-year international undergraduate students receive a Queen’s Upper-Year Scholarship with the average value being approximately $2,000 for the next academic year.

Trent University – Global Citizen Scholarships and Awards

•  Trent International Program (TIP) offers a limited number of highly competitive renewable Full and Tuition scholarships to students eligible for undergraduate admission to Trent, and who are not citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Preference is given to high school graduates although transfer students are also eligible to apply.
• These scholarships and Awards are tenable for up to four years of an Honours degree if a “B” average is maintained each year and are available for students entering the University in September only. TRENT-ESL students are eligible to apply for International Awards upon successful completion of the TRENT-ESL program.

University of British Columbia – Awards for International Students

• The International Leader of Tomorrow Award (ILOT) is given to outstanding secondary school students who have demonstrated exceptional academic ability and leadership potential, and who would be unable to attend UBC without financial support. Awards are by nomination only, and only one student may be nominated by each school or institution.

• The International Student Humanitarian Award (ISHA) is given to students entering UBC directly from secondary school, who have demonstrated academic achievement in circumstances requiring exceptional perseverance. Nominations are accepted from secondary schools and from international community-based and non-governmental organizations.

University of Calgary

• Awards are available for international students both entering the University from high school and those continuing their studies who are enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program. Entering International students must apply for admission by February 1 before applying online for awards. (Note: International students enrolled in LEAP are not eligible)
• NEW! International Awards – High School Students – For international students entering an undergraduate degree program directly from high school. Must complete the online award application. Based on academic merit and academic promise. Renewable for three year. Five awards @ $20,000 per year

University of Ontario Institute of Technology

• Global Leadership Award – International applicants currently studying full-time at a high school outside of Canada are eligible to apply to this scholarship. This scholarship is one of UOIT’s most prestigious entrance awards. The recipients of this award will be academically outstanding and have made notable contributions in extracurricular or community activities. University of Saskatchewan – International Student Renewable Entrance Scholarship

• This prestigious scholarship is open to our best and brightest international students entering a direct-entry undergraduate program at the U of S and studying in Canada on a valid study permit. Students who are high achievers, display leadership characteristics, and contribute to their school and community life are encouraged to apply.

York University

• The Global Leader of Tomorrow Award (4) . $15,000 renewable for four years (total = $60,000). For Highest academic average. Nomination by high school. Have Leadership and demonstrated skills To renew – must have a high academic standing (7.8 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York
